Purpose

To ensure that Supply Chain requirements are effectively fulfilled across the full range of TVS clients. The role is responsible for identifying and delivering opportunities to enhance client performance, drive working capital efficiency, reduce risk, and increase profitability. A key focus is on the implementation of supply chain strategy and continuous improvement initiatives that deliver best value to clients and to TVS.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Team Leadership & People Management

Lead, coach, and develop the Supply Chain team, fostering a high-performance culture.

Ensure consistent application of supply chain best practices and continuous learning.

Conduct regular communication sessions to keep teams informed of project and business performance.

Lead structured annual performance reviews and monthly one-to-one meetings to support employee development.

Champion team engagement and support career growth through mentorship and training.

Service Delivery & Client Relationship Management

Own end-to-end service delivery for all assigned clients, ensuring key KPIs (availability, backorders, stock levels) are consistently met.

Proactively manage commercial risks associated with service delivery.

Provide regular performance reporting and visibility across internal teams and senior stakeholders.

Collaborate with Purchasing to:

Monitor and improve supplier conformance to client requirements.

Build strong supplier relationships that support continuous improvement.

Lead regular operational and strategic meetings with clients.

Represent Supply Chain in new business pursuits, including solution design, client briefings, and implementation support.

Supply Chain Strategy & Continuous Improvement

Understand client needs and internal operations to identify improvement opportunities and eliminate non-compliance.

Lead end-to-end delivery of improvement initiatives: from current/future state mapping through to benefit realisation.

Collaborate cross-functionally to assess and mitigate impact of change across the business.

Promote a “right first time” and data-driven approach to strategic planning and operational execution.

Drive standardisation and automation to reduce costs, improve service, and manage risk.

Commercial Performance & Procurement Excellence

Enhance the commercial performance of the Supply Chain function with measurable bottom-line impact.

Champion value-for-money procurement practices and supplier performance management.

Support cost-reduction initiatives while ensuring quality and compliance are not compromised.

Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications

Degree-level education or equivalent, ideally in Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field.

Strong commercial acumen and effective negotiation skills

Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in supply chain and continuous improvement methodologies.

Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities

High attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Self-motivated, resilient, and results-oriented.

Comfortable challenging the status quo and influencing stakeholders at all levels.

Excellent team building and a proactive networking style

Full Driving License and willingness to travel

Experience and Key Competencies

Extensive experience in a leadership Procurement or Supply Chain role

Good working knowledge of IT System and Software Packages including ERP, Word and Excel.

Track record of building relationships with senior personnel and of understanding and influencing Client / business strategy

Security Clearance Requirement

Candidates must be eligible to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance. This process includes verification of identity, right to work in the UK, employment history, and a basic criminal records check for unspent convictions. Please note that candidates must have resided in the UK for 3 years to meet BPSS eligibility requirements.
