📍 Basildon
Salary💷 £18.59 per hour
We are looking for a Skilled Assembler to work in a busy manufacturing environment at our Basildon site
Working Hours
* Monday – Thursday: 7.30am – 16.00pm
* Friday: 7.30am – 12.30pm
Benefits:

Purpose of role and key accountabilities:
To carry out assembly of aircraft components to customer defined specification and standard.
Core skills/attributes needed:
• Ability to work on assembly of new parts with solid rivets using hand & air riveting tools & other equipment for the purpose required.
• Visual inspection of completed products
• Full knowledge and experience of using Vernier’s and other specialist measuring tools • Experience of working to adjust sheet metal parts for assembly
• Current experience of the use of air tools i.e. drills / rivet press / rivet guns
• Experience of using sealants
• Engineering background ideally in aerospace industry
• Experience of reading, interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience of working with a number of different materials and finishes
• Attention to detail
• Problem solving skills
• Utilising a range of hand tools
• Finish precision engineering products
The employee must also strive to support the elements of the SQCDP framework of the wider Gardner business;
➢ Safety: work in line with all accredited company safety standards in order to provide a safe working environment for all
➢ Quality: support the quality accreditations across the business to ensure the delivery of a ‘right first time’ performance
➢ Cost: support the continuous improvements in cost reduction activities across the company in order to deliver increased profitability and value for money to our customers and stakeholders Page 2 of 2
➢ Delivery: drive improvement in delivery performance to continually exceed customer expectations and targets
➢ People: support organisational capability and influence cultural change by embracing diversity, inclusion, wellbeing and community
Measurable performance indicators/objectives of role:
• Quality standards

• Flexibility to undertake a range of activities
• Maintenance of health and safety/housekeeping standards within the team to required standard
