CNC Turner Required Milton Keynes
Role Summary:
The CNC Turnerwill set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines to produce precision components to the required specifications. The role requires technical skill, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work orders.
Set up and operate CNC machines, including lathes and other relevant equipment.
Program machines or adjust existing programmes to achieve the required tolerances.
Conduct quality checks on finished components using measuring instruments.
Maintain accurate production records and report any issues to the supervisor.
Carry out routine maintenance and cleaning of machines.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Work closely with other workshop staff to meet production schedules.Essential Skills and Experience:
Proven experience as in CNC machining, preferably turning within an engineering environment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD data.
Competent in setting up and operating CNC machines.
Knowledge of measuring instruments and quality control procedures.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Personal Qualities:
Reliable and punctual.
Methodical and precise.
Able to work independently and as part of a small team.
Flexible and willing to learn new techniques.
