Job Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, flexible, and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Wythenshawe, Manchester. In this role, you will provide high-quality classroom support, working closely with teachers to help create a calm, purposeful, and nurturing learning environment where children can thrive.
You will support teaching and learning across the school, working with whole classes, small groups, and individual pupils as needed. Key Responsibilities:

Assist Teachers: Support classroom teachers with the planning, preparation, and delivery of lessons, as well as assessment and recording of pupils' progress.
Classroom Management: Help maintain a positive and productive classroom environment, using effective behaviour management strategies and encouraging pupil participation.
Additional Needs Support: Provide tailored support to pupils with additional needs, including SEND, where appropriate.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and parents to support pupils’ development and well-being.
Monitor and Record Progress: Assist in tracking pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers, and contributing to pupil reports where required.
Person Specification:
Level 3 Qualification: Hold a recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent relevant experience in an educational setting.
Experience in Primary Education: Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting is essential. Experience supporting pupils across different year groups is desirable.
Strong Classroom Support Skills: Ability to support teaching and learning effectively, with a proactive approach to behaviour management and pupil engagement.
Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom situations and work with pupils of varying abilities and needs.
Team Player: Willing to collaborate with teachers, support staff, and school leadership to ensure a positive educational experience for pupils.
Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with children, teachers, and parents.
