Beyond Talent Solutions is delighted to be supporting a well established values-led organisation in the Sheffield area with the appointment of a Part Time HR Coordinator on a 12‑month fixed-term basis, focusing on delivering a specific HR project.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys a hands-on, people-focused role, operating as part of a small but committed HR team.

Reporting into the HR Manager, you’ll provide both practical HR support and advisory input across a varied and rewarding organisation. You’ll work closely with managers, volunteers and stakeholders, offering guidance while ensuring best practice across HR administration, recruitment and employee lifecycle processes.

Key responsibilities will include:

Providing day-to-day HR support and first-line advice to managers and teams

Supporting recruitment activity end-to-end, from advert stage through to onboarding

Issuing contracts and managing pre-employment checks

Coordinating inductions, probation tracking and training records

Maintaining accurate personnel records in line with GDPR requirements

Supporting policy and handbook updates to reflect current employment legislation

Using HR systems (including Access People HR) to maintain accurate employee data

Assisting with HR projects linked to the fixed-term funding

You’ll also support managers with sensitive areas such as returns to work, occupational health referrals and absence management - always with a compassionate, practical HR approach.

About you

This role will suit someone who enjoys variety and autonomy, and who is confident working with stakeholders at different levels.

You’ll ideally bring:

CIPD Level 5 (or working towards)

A solid grounding in UK employment law

Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding processes

The confidence to advise managers using HR policies and best practice

Strong attention to detail and comfort using HR systems and Microsoft Office

A calm, approachable manner and a genuine interest in supporting people

Driving license and access to own car to be able to visit different sites across the area

Experience within a charity or not-for-profit organisation would be advantageous, but is not essential.

The contract

This position is offered on a 12‑month fixed-term contract, ideally c.24 hours a week, aligned to specific funding, with potential for this to be extended or become permanent.

Why apply?

A varied and meaningful HR role with real impact

Exposure to a broad HR remit across multiple stakeholders

Supportive management and a collaborative environment

An opportunity to contribute to a clearly defined HR project
