Head of Accounts – Accountancy Practice

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced and ambitious Head of Accounts to lead their accounts department and play a key role in the future success of the firm.
The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

* Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and tax legislation.
* Provide strategic financial advice and business insight to clients.
* Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiencies, and service delivery.
* Support the firm's growth objectives and contribute to wider business strategy.
* Review work completed by team members, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are maintained.
About You
* ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
* Previous experience managing or leading a team.
* Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Commercially aware with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Proficient in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage.
Desirable Experience
* Experience operating in a senior leadership or partner-track position.
* Business development and client acquisition experience.
* Strong understanding of cloud-based accounting systems and digital accounting solutions.
