Are you looking to gain hands-on experience in a specialist school setting before pursuing a career in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or Child Development?
We are working in partnership with a specialist SEMH primary school in Reading seeking a motivated and empathetic Aspiring Educational Psychologist / SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team.
About the Role This is a fantastic opportunity to gain invaluable practical experience working with children who require additional emotional and behavioural support. You will play a key role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and build positive relationships.
Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
Assisting with emotional regulation and behaviour management strategies
Helping deliver tailored learning and intervention plans
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
Building strong, trusting relationships with vulnerable pupilsThe School
A supportive and nurturing SEMH specialist primary school environment
Focused on helping every child reach their full potential
Experienced leadership team with a strong emphasis on staff development
Excellent training and progression opportunities for aspiring psychologistsIdeal Candidate We are particularly keen to hear from graduates with backgrounds or interests in:

Psychology
Criminology
Sociology
Education or related fieldsYou will be:

Passionate about working with children with SEMH needs
