Communications & Stakeholder Engagement Lead - SC Cleared - Contract

Rate: £550 per day

The role:

A Government organisation is seeking an experienced Communications & Stakeholder Engagement Lead to support a high-profile digital transformation programme. You will be responsible for developing and delivering communications strategies, managing stakeholder engagement, and supporting senior leaders across a complex government environment. Based on the role description, the focus is on leading communications activity for a major central buying initiative within government.

Key responsibilities:

* Develop and deliver communications and stakeholder engagement strategies
* Lead internal and external communications across multiple stakeholder groups
* Create high-quality briefings, FAQs, lines to take, and engagement materials
* Manage communications with government departments, suppliers, and senior stakeholders
* Build strong relationships with communications teams, press offices, and leadership groups
* Facilitate stakeholder engagement sessions and provide communications advice to senior leaders
* Support reactive communications and correspondence within tight timescales
* Drive engagement and participation across a fast-paced transformation programme

Skills & Experience:

* Extensive experience leading communications and engagement activities for large-scale transformation programmes
* Strong stakeholder management experience across complex organisational environments
* Experience engaging with senior leaders, executives, or government stakeholders
* Ability to produce high-quality briefings, communications, and correspondence at pace
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong relationship-building and influencing capabilities
* Experience working within government, public sector, or highly regulated environments desirable
* SC Clearance required
