Behaviour Mentor – Secondary School – Mill Hill (NW7)
Location: Mill Hill, NW7
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (Term Time Only)
Pay: £110 – £120 per day
We are looking for a confident and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a large, high-achieving secondary school in Mill Hill. The school has a strong reputation for academic success, with results consistently above the national average, and is committed to supporting students’ personal development alongside their education.
This role is particularly suited to individuals with experience working with young people, such as youth workers, sports coaches, or mentors who are passionate about making a positive difference.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students with behavioural needs both in and out of the classroom
* Build positive, trusting relationships with students to encourage engagement
* Provide 1:1 mentoring and small group interventions
* Implement behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
* De-escalate challenging situations in a calm and professional manner
* Work closely with teaching staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
* Monitor, track, and report on student behaviour and progress
* Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social development
Requirements:
* Experience working with young people (e.g. youth work, mentoring, coaching, or similar)
* Strong behaviour management and communication skills
* Calm, patient, and resilient approach
* Ability to build rapport and act as a positive role model
* Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
