Adult Social Worker - Access & Duty Team
Location: Hackney, London
Rate: £19.00 £23.00 per hour
Contract: Locum
Start Date: Immediate
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Adult Social Worker to join Hackney Council's Access & Duty Team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Undertake Care Act 2014 assessments and reviews.
• Complete strengths-based assessments and support planning.
• Manage a varied caseload of adults with complex needs.
• Carry out safeguarding duties including Section 42 enquiries.
• Work in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and DoLS.
• Develop outcome-focused support plans in partnership with service users and carers.
• Work collaboratively with health professionals and multi-agency partners.
• Maintain accurate and timely case records and reports.
Essential Requirements:
• Qualified Social Worker (Degree, DipSW or equivalent).
• Current Social Work England (SWE) registration.
• Recent Adult Services experience within a UK Local Authority.
• Experience completing Care Act assessments.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures, MCA and DoLS.
• Ability to manage an independent caseload.
• Strong assessment, report writing and communication skills.
Desirable:
• Access & Duty Team experience.
• Community Adult Services experience.
• Direct Payments and support planning experience.
• Experience working within a London Borough.
