Forklift Driver

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Forklift Counterbalance / Storesperson to join a busy manufacturing and warehouse operation in Coventry.

This is a hands-on role combining forklift work with general stores duties, supporting both goods-in and production operations within a fast-paced environment.

Hours: 6am-2pm Monday to Friday - must be flexible to work rotation shifts 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm during busy periods.

Pay rate: £12.83 per hour

Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

Operating a counterbalance forklift truck safely and efficiently
Loading and unloading deliveries
Moving stock within the warehouse and production areas
Picking, packing, and preparing items for dispatch
Booking goods in and out using internal systems
Supplying materials to production lines as required
Conducting stock checks and maintaining accurate records
Keeping the work area clean, organised, and safe
Following all health & safety regulations at all times

Requirements

Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (RTITB/ITSSAR or equivalent)
Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, or manufacturing environment
Good understanding of stock control processes
Ability to work both independently and within a team
Strong attention to detail and reliability

Desirable Skills

Experience within a manufacturing or automotive environment
Knowledge of warehouse management systems (e.g. SAP)
