QUALITY ENGINEER REQUIRED IN SANDBACH, CHESHIRE!!

Are you a Quality Engineer seeking a new job opportunity, do you have automotive core tools knowledge (in particular FMEA, PPAP & 8D problem solving) and are you able to get to Sandbach?!

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join a sheet metal manufacturing business in Sandbach (Cheshire), this role is doing day shifts 7.30am - 4.30pm with an early finish Friday (39 hours per week), and the salary is up to £50,000 per annum (DOE).

The hiring manager is looking for someone who can demonstrate their experience with PPAP, Control Plans and FMEA's, as well as having experience with problem-solving tools and techniques (including 8D reports).

Previous experience within the welding / fabrication / sheet metal industry would be preferred (but is not essential), a CSWIP 3.0 or 3.1 certification would be highly advantageous but is also not essential.

What You Will Do:

Interpret and analyse engineering drawings, including GD&T, to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Utilise basic measuring equipment, such as callipers, micrometres, and gauges, to verify product quality.
Apply automotive core tools such as PPAP, MSA, Control Plans, FMEA, SPC, and APQP to maintain industry standards.
Address customer and internal quality issues using problem-solving techniques like 8D reports.
Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What You Will Bring:

Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings with a solid understanding of GD&T.
Experience in using measuring and inspection equipment effectively.
Familiarity with automotive industry quality tools and processes, including PPAP and FMEA.
Proven ability to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and data reporting tools.
