Academics are looking for Graduates that are due to finish University and are looking for work experience in secondary schools. Our Graduate Teaching Assistants come from a variety of degrees, including: Childhood Studies; Education Studies; Children, Young People and Families; Psychology; and Sport. This is because Graduate Teaching Assistants can have a range of personalities and strengths that can be very useful in this area. In this role you will work both with classes and individuals, supporting teaching in secondary classrooms. Helping to aid student understanding, you will be a valuable link between the teacher and students that may be struggling, making a real difference in the school experience of everyone involved. Further to all this, you get to choose where and when you accept assignments.

Someone who can form meaningful relationships with students
Someone who is confident in behaviour management and de-escalation
Someone who is happy to engage in a variety of jobs within their role

Competitive rates upwards of £90 per day and comparatively short working days
The autonomy to choose when you would like to work

Role subject to an enhanced DBS check. Academics has been a trusted educational agency in the area for over 17 years and has existing links across Yorkshire and the UK, making us the first call for a very large client base of schools. Our particular branch is based in Halifax and we work with primary, secondary and SEN settings across Halifax, Huddersfield and Bradford.
