Your Opportunity:
We are a small, supportive children's residential home based in Bacup, providing high-quality, trauma-informed care to young people. We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Residential Support Worker to join our close-knit team. This is an excellent opportunity to build a rewarding career in residential childcare within a nurturing and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide a safe, nurturing and stable environment for young people
* Support the physical, emotional and behavioural needs of the children in your care
* Build positive relationships and encourage personal development and independence
* Support with daily routines, activities and appointments where required
* Maintain a clean, tidy and homely environment
* Carry out administrative duties, maintain accurate records and complete handovers between shifts
* Follow care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures at all times
* Accurately record and report observations and incidents
Qualifications & Experience Required:
* Empathy, patience and resilience
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
* Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate written records
* Flexibility to work a 2 on / 4 off shift pattern, including sleep-in duties
* Previous experience in a residential care setting is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided
Benefits:
* £13.21 per hour
* £50.00 per sleep-in shift
* Permanent contract with stable hours
* 2 on / 4 off shift pattern
