About the Role
Veritas Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in Kirklees to recruit a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced practitioners and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) seeking a supportive and dynamic environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable), fostering a positive and engaging learning environment that supports all learners in achieving their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, using data to inform teaching practice
Create a positive classroom environment that promotes behaviour for learning
Support students of varying abilities, including those with SEND and EAL
Contribute to the wider school community, including departmental planning and extracurricular activities
Uphold safeguarding and promote the welfare of all students in line with DfE guidance
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Experience teaching Maths at secondary school level (KS3 & KS4 essential)
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Maths education
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
A commitment to raising standards and improving outcomes for all students
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
