We are currently seeking an Applications Technologist to join a global innovator in UV-based disinfection and treatment technologies, based in Berkshire.
As an Applications Technologist, your responsibilities will include:
*
Develop and refine applications for UV equipment across a range of water, air, surface, and process use cases.
*
Conduct research, literature reviews, and on-site practical studies with partners worldwide.
*
Perform computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations using ANSYS to optimize system performance.
*
Collect, analyse, and present data from trials and modelling activities.
*
Translate complex technical concepts into clear, customer-focused insights.
*
Support the creation of technical and commercial materials for internal and external audiences.
*
Identify emerging application opportunities and contribute to prioritisation of R&D efforts.
As an Applications Technologist, You will have:
*
Degree or PhD in Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
*
Experience with CFD, MATLAB, Python, or other computer-based modelling tools.
*
Strong research, data analysis, and technical communication skills.
*
Ability to manage and perform practical on-site studies.
*
Collaborative, customer-focused mindset.
*
Experience with ANSYS Fluent.
*
Knowledge of UV disinfection, water processes, and photobiological/photochemical phenomena.
*
Scripting for data processing and automation.
