Accounts Administrator – Liverpool

Location: Liverpool
Position Type: Full-Time
Sector: Construction / MEP

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to join our growing team in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator with accounts experience to play a key role in supporting the finance function and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of financial processes.

The successful candidate will work closely with the finance team, handling a variety of accounting and administrative duties while maintaining accurate records and delivering excellent internal support.

Key Responsibilities

* Processing purchase invoices and matching them against purchase orders.

* Raising sales invoices and maintaining accurate customer records.

* Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.

* Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice queries.

* Assisting with bank reconciliations and financial reporting.

* Processing employee expenses and timesheets.

* Maintaining accurate financial and administrative records.

* Supporting month-end and year-end accounting processes.

* Handling incoming calls, emails, and general office administration duties.

* Assisting the Finance Manager with ad-hoc administrative and accounting tasks.

Requirements

* Previous experience in an Accounts Administrator, Finance Administrator, or similar role.

* Good understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

* Experience using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar.

* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

* AAT qualification or studying towards AAT would be advantageous but not essential.
