Are you passionate about supporting children, young people, and families to achieve positive outcomes?
We are recruiting for a Family Hub Practitioner to join a dedicated team based in Redditch. This is a rewarding opportunity to work directly with families, helping parents build confidence, supporting child development, and improving outcomes for children and young people aged 0–19, with a particular focus on early years and children under five.
### The Role
As a Family Hub Practitioner, you will provide practical, tailored support to families through one-to-one interventions, home visits, group sessions, and community-based activities. You will work closely with partner agencies to ensure families receive the right support at the right time.
### Key Responsibilities
Deliver one-to-one family support, including home visits and community-based interventions.
Facilitate parenting programmes, workshops, drop-in sessions, and group activities.
Support families facing challenges relating to child development, behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and school readiness.
Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and children to promote confidence and resilience.
Engage vulnerable and hard-to-reach families, including those known to social care, teenage parents, care leavers, and families living in areas of high need.
Work collaboratively with schools, health professionals, social care teams, and community organisations.
Complete assessments, maintain accurate case records, and monitor outcomes.
Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.
Contribute to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive Family Hub environment.
### About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Experience working with children, young people, and families in a support, outreach, education, social care, or community setting.
Knowledge of child development, parenting support, and family wellbeing.
Experience delivering group sessions, workshops, or parenting programmes.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Experience working with vulnerable families and multi-agency teams.
Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills.
A proactive, compassionate, and flexible approach.
### Essential Requirements
Enhanced DBS (Children & Adults) registered on the Update Service.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Ability to work onsite across variousl locations within the Redditch area.
