Assistant Quantity Surveyor

We are working with a well-established and highly respected multi-disciplinary property and construction consultancy to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Central London. With over 40 years of industry expertise, they employ more than 250 professionals across multiple regional offices, delivering a comprehensive range of surveying, engineering, design, compliance, and project management services.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated early career Quantity Surveyor to develop their technical expertise, work alongside experienced professionals, and contribute to delivering exceptional outcomes for clients. You will gain hands-on experience across a diverse portfolio of projects within the built environment sector while working towards your MRICS qualification.
Working closely with senior Quantity Surveyors, you'll support the delivery of a full range of pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying services, including:
Preparing budget estimates and cost plans
Measurement and quantification of works
Valuing construction works on site
Producing cost reports
Assisting with final account negotiations and agreements
Supporting project delivery to the highest technical and professional standards
Ensuring client expectations are met and exceeded through quality, innovation, and value
Supporting compliance with quality management and business management systems
Assisting in the delivery of projects that meet agreed financial and performance targets
Participating in structured training and professional development programmes
Developing proficiency in company systems and processes, including project management softwareWhat We're Looking For
Essential
1-2+ years' post-graduate experience, or completion of a degree apprenticeship/day-release degree
RICS-accredited degree
Currently working towards MRICS and committed to completing the APC process
Previous experience within a consultancy environment
Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
A proactive attitude and eagerness to learnDesirable
Experience in Contract Administration
