Job Title: Production Operative
Location: Chesterfield
Inspire Resourcing are recruiting a Production Operative on behalf of our Chesterfield-based client. This is a permanent role for someone with a career focused individual.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
*
Work as a supportive and active team member within the department
*
Set up, operate and maintain production machines (where trained and authorised)
*
Carry out production processes in line with standard operating procedures
* Measure products to ensure compliance with quality standards and safe operating tolerances
*
Pack manufactured products ready for dispatch
*
Comply with all Health & Safety policies, risk assessments and safe systems of work at all times, including correct use of PPE
*
Immediately report hazards, near misses, incidents or unsafe conditions in line with company procedures
*
Stop work where there is a genuine safety concern and escalate appropriately
*
Carry out basic fault finding on machines and either rectify or report issues as required
*
Assist with end-of-shift cleaning and housekeeping duties to 5S standards
*
Actively contribute to continuous improvement and lean activities to support operational efficiency and safety
*
Work towards and maintain all quality accreditations, reporting any non-compliance or irregularities to the line manager
*
Assist in the review and update of work instructions and procedures
*
Undertake training and, where competent and authorised, support the training and mentoring of new or existing staff
*
Contribute positively to the appraisal process and follow up on agreed actions
Requirements

* Comply with and actively promote all safety procedures, risk assessments and safe systems of work
* Take personal responsibility for maintaining a safe working environment
Interpersonal Skills
* Maintain confidentiality
* Be open to others’ ideas and willing to try new ways of working
* Demonstrate a positive, team-focused attitude
FLT Counter balance licence is an advantage
Hours of work - Days
Location - Chesterfield / Sheffield / Barlborough / Staveley / Sheepbridge / Dronfield all commutable
