Job Description

* Carry out and document all tasks associated with the pre-commissioning / commissioning of the equipment.

* Be responsible for handing over a fully operational system for acceptance by the customer.

* Ensure health and safety procedures and standards are followed on site. Ensure all Health and safety documentation is filed, maintained and updated on site.

* Ensure commissioning schedules, handover and witnessing documents are updated, maintained, completed and filed/issued to the project manager prior to project completion.

* Carry out factory acceptance testing when required, Site acceptance testing and customer witnessing.

* Ensure sites are cleared of equipment and materials/products prior to handover/completion.

* To undertake any other duties as requested by senior staff.

* Carrying out site surveys to support project teams where required

* Compile RAMs where required

* Observing & complying with health and safety regulations.

* Participating in safety reviews when needed.

* Maintaining Continuous Professional Development

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

* HNC or equivalent in Engineering.

* At least 5-years working within the Power Industry.

* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal and ability to communicate effectively.

* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

* Computer literate with experience of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook.

* Full UK Driving license.

* Has good working knowledge of basic protection relays and functions.

* Is capable of performing tests such as Contact resistance (Ductor), Insulation resistance, AC dielectric withstand tests, CT/VT primary and polarity checks, relay secondary injection, scheme checks and CT analysis.

* Capable of working with protection relays and making minor changes to settings and configs as and when required.

* Installation tests on distribution Transformers.

* Occasionally helping senior commissioning engineers on major projects.

Additional Information

Working away from home is expected around 80% of the year
