Vocational Teacher

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a friendly and inclusive school in the NG13 area seeking a Full-Time Vocational Teacher to join their team ASAP on a long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a supportive environment, delivering engaging vocational learning programmes that inspire and motivate pupils to achieve their full potential.

This position is ideal for a passionate and adaptable teacher with experience delivering practical, skills-based learning to students who may require additional support to engage with education.

Vocational Teacher - Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging vocational lessons tailored to pupils' individual needs and abilities
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes participation and achievement
Support pupils in developing practical skills, confidence, and employability skills
Differentiate learning to meet a range of educational and behavioural needs
Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress
Work closely with teaching assistants, pastoral teams, and senior leaders to support pupil outcomes
Promote positive behaviour and maintain high expectations within the classroom
Contribute to the wider school community and support enrichment activities where appropriate

Vocational Teacher - Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or relevant vocational teaching qualification
Experience delivering vocational subjects or practical learning programmes
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
