Senior Quantity Surveyor

6 month contract

Manchester/Redding

Harvey Nash's client is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders including Project Managers, Engineers, Legal, Procurement, Finance, and wider project teams
  • Review and manage upstream and downstream contracts, identifying risks and negotiating favourable terms
  • Lead commercial delivery across projects
  • Work closely with Project Managers to ensure effective cost control and commercial performance
  • Support monthly project review processes, identifying risks and driving mitigation strategies
  • Deliver accurate commercial reporting across individual projects and the wider portfolio
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities alongside finance and operational teams

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor level on infrastructure projects
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC3 Option A contracts
  • Demonstrated expertise in cost control, financial management, and commercial governance
  • Experience supporting or leading dispute resolution processes
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and lead on commercial strategy within complex project environments
