HVAP Shift Lead to oversee critical building operations within a high-profile, mission-critical environment. This role is responsible for leading shift operations, ensuring compliance and safe systems of work, and maintaining the performance and reliability of critical M&E infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate shift engineering operations within a critical environment
Monitor and manage plant performance via BMS and CAFM systems
Ensure all PPMs, reactive tasks, and statutory compliance activities are completed within SLA
Manage HVAP responsibilities including isolations, permits to work, and safe systems of work
Oversee incident management, escalations, and emergency response procedures
Maintain accurate shift logs, technical reports, and operational documentation
Supervise contractors and engineering teams to ensure safe and efficient delivery
Support energy efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives
Provide shift cover and operational support when required
Requirements
NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations qualification.
Previous experience in a critical environment/data centre/high-profile commercial site
HV Authorised Person (HVAP) status essential
Strong understanding of critical M&E systems, BMS, and CAFM platforms
Experience leading engineering teams in a shift environment
Excellent knowledge of health & safety and statutory compliance
Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
