Are you an experienced Project Manager looking to lead significant construction projects across the East Midlands?
We're recruiting for a Project Manager to join a leading, family-owned construction contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the commercial, education, healthcare, leisure and public sectors.
With a secured pipeline of work and a healthy order book, this is an opportunity to take ownership of projects from pre-construction through to completion, delivering schemes that make a lasting impact on local communities.
One of the upcoming projects within the region is a £13.1 million commercial regeneration and refurbishment scheme, incorporating the redevelopment of existing buildings, new-build elements and public realm improvements as part of a wider investment programme.
The Role
Reporting into the Regional Director, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Working closely with commercial teams, consultants, subcontractors and clients, you will provide leadership throughout the full project lifecycle, from planning and procurement through to handover.
Key Responsibilities
Managing projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover
Developing and maintaining project programmes
Leading site teams and supporting operational delivery
Managing subcontractors and supply chain partners
Coordinating consultants, architects and design teams
Working closely with Quantity Surveyors to maintain commercial control
Ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and Health & Safety requirements
Driving quality standards and achieving snag-free handovers
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
About You
We're keen to speak with experienced Project Managers from a main contractor background who have successfully delivered construction projects from inception through to completion.
Essential Experience
Construction Project Management within a main contracting environment
Strong programme and operational management experience
Experience managing subcontractors and supply chains
Commercial awareness and project financial understanding
Strong stakeholder and client management skills
Commitment to Health & Safety and quality delivery
SMSTS, Black CSCS card and First Aid is essential for this role
