Our client, a reputable commercial vehicle workshop based in Preston, is seeking a highly skilled HGV Technician to join their busy team.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician to advance their career within a well-established business that prioritises quality workmanship and employee satisfaction.
The successful individual will be instrumental in maintaining high standards of service and repair for heavy goods vehicles, contributing to the company’s ongoing growth.
Benefits of a HGV Technician:
Competitive hourly rate ranging from £18 to £21, depending on experience
Salary of £50,000 per annum
Overtime paid at time and a half after 45 hours, increasing earnings potential
Monday to Friday working hours, from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm

Modern, well-equipped workshop facilitiesDuties of a HGV Technician:
Conduct diagnostics, repairs, and routine service work on heavy goods vehicles
Ensure all work complies with manufacturer standards and specifications
Maintain accurate records and documentation of all work carried out
Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times
Assist in the ongoing maintenance of workshop tools and equipment
Provide excellent customer service and technical advice when required
Support workshop operations to ensure smooth workflowRequirements of a HGV Technician:
Proven experience as an HGV Technician or in a similar heavy vehicle repair role
Strong diagnostic abilities and technical knowledge of heavy goods vehicles
Full UK driving licence
Recognised qualification in HGV or vehicle maintenance
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent time management skills and meticulous attention to detail
