The Best Connection are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Mig Welder on behalf of our well-established client based in West Bromwich.

This is a temporary position with the potential to become permanent following a successful trial period.

Pay Rate:

£12.71 per hour + £40.00 per week shift allowance + £100.00 per month bonus.

Working Hours:

Monday - Thursday: 07:00 - 17:00 (40hour week).
Friday: OVERTIME.

Key Responsibilities

Perform MIG welding on small components using pre-set jigs and fixtures.
Assemble and accurately position parts within jigs to meet specification requirements.
Ensure consistent weld quality in line with production and quality standards.
Read and interpret basic engineering drawings and work instructions.
Carry out visual inspection of welds and finished assemblies.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working area.
Meet daily production targets and maintain workflow efficiency.
Conduct routine checks and basic maintenance on welding equipment.
Report any defects, faults, or issues to supervisors promptly.
Adhere to all health & safety policies and procedures at all times.

Candidate Requirements

Previous experience in MIG welding within a production or manufacturing environment.
Experience using jigs and fixtures for repetitive welding tasks.
Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and specifications.
Good attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to meet production targets and work efficiently under time pressures.
Basic knowledge of welding standards and quality checks.
Strong awareness of health & safety practices in a workshop environment.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
Willingness to learn and follow company processes and procedures.
