Programme Controller / Scheduler – Air Traffic Management Systems (ATMS)

Copello are recruiting for a Programme Controller / Scheduler to join a leading organisation operating within the aerospace and air traffic management sector.

This is an excellent opportunity to support the delivery of complex, safety-critical programmes that contribute to the advancement of air traffic management technology. Working within a high-performing PMO and project controls environment, you will play a key role in programme planning, scheduling, risk management, cost control, and performance reporting.

The Role

As a Programme Controller / Scheduler, you will work closely with Programme Managers, Engineering teams, Finance, and key stakeholders to maintain programme schedules, monitor performance, and provide the data and analysis required to support effective decision-making.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Managing and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), ensuring all activities, milestones, dependencies, and resources are accurately reflected.

* Analysing schedule performance, critical path activities, programme risks, and variances.

* Producing performance metrics, forecasts, and Estimates to Complete (ETC) to support programme and financial reporting.

* Supporting Earned Value Management (EVM) activities and ensuring programme changes are incorporated into baseline plans.

* Monitoring programme timesheet bookings and investigating anomalies where required.

* Facilitating programme risk reviews, maintaining risk registers, and supporting mitigation planning.

* Supporting Programme Managers, Control Account Managers (CAMs), and Finance teams with baseline management and forecasting activities.

* Developing and maintaining Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Organisational Breakdown Structures (OBS).

* Providing planning and estimating support for bids and proposals.

* Producing regular programme reporting and analysis for senior stakeholders and review boards.

About You

We are keen to speak with candidates who have experience within project controls, programme controls, planning, or scheduling roles, ideally within complex engineering, aerospace, defence, aviation, or technology environments.

You will ideally have:

* Experience working in a Project Controls, Programme Controls, or Project Planning environment.

* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project (MSP) and Microsoft Office applications.

* Excellent analytical and reporting skills.

* Experience managing and interpreting project data across multiple systems.

* Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

* The ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary and geographically dispersed teams.

* Commercial awareness and an understanding of programme delivery within complex project environments.

Desirable experience includes:

* Earned Value Management (EVM) or EVMS knowledge.

* Experience supporting development or production programmes.

* Familiarity with risk management and programme governance processes.
