An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Grounds Maintenance person to join Buxton City Council’s Grounds Maintenance team, delivering high-quality services across parks, highways, housing estates, and public spaces.

The Role:

* Towing a Water Bowser

* Carrying out general grounds maintenance including grass cutting, hedge trimming, and upkeep of shrub beds and floral displays

* Maintaining parks, highways, housing estates, and public/private spaces

* Ensuring all work is completed safely in line with health and safety regulations

* Completing job sheets, vehicle checks, and other required paperwork

* Supporting apprentices, temporary staff, and community groups where required

The Requirements:

* A willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions

* Ability to carry out manual work and use gardening tools/equipment

* Understanding of health and safety practices (training can be provided)

* Full UK driving licence (desirable)

* Reliable, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team

* Willingness to undertake training and develop skills
