Long Eaton Nottingham

Days | Monday to Thursday 6.30am - 3:30pm | Friday 6:30am - 12.30pm

Are you an experienced Turner looking for a stable role with a well-established engineering company?

We're recruiting on behalf of a respected precision engineering business in Long Eaton Nottingham, who are looking to strengthen their machine shop team with the addition of a skilled Turner.

You'll be machining a range of components using conventional lathes, working from engineering drawings and producing work to tight tolerances.

The Job

* Setting and operating manual/conventional lathes

* Machining components from engineering drawings

* Producing one-off and small batch work

* Working to tight tolerances and quality standards

* Inspecting finished components

* Maintaining a safe and organised work area

What We're Looking For

* Previous experience operating manual lathes

* Ability to read and work from engineering drawings

* Experience working within a precision engineering environment

* Strong attention to detail

* Time-served apprenticeship or engineering qualification beneficial but not essential

* Toolmakers, Conventional Turners and Manual Machinists are encouraged to apply
