Location: Birmingham
Salary: Up to £20 per hour (depending on experience)
Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm
Friday: 7:30am - 12:30pm

Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Turner Programmer & Setter to join a skilled and growing engineering team within a high-quality manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a precision-focused individual with a strong background in CNC turning, programming, and machine setup, who takes pride in producing high-quality components.

Key Responsibilities

Program, set, and operate CNC turning machines (including Mazak, XYZ, and Citizen).
Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Ensure all components are manufactured to precise tolerances and quality standards.
Identify and resolve machining and production issues efficiently.
Collaborate with internal teams to optimise manufacturability and improve processes.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.

Essential Requirements

Minimum of 10 years' experience programming and setting CNC turning machines.
Strong understanding of machining processes and materials, particularly metals.
Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings.
High attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Reliable, proactive, and self-motivated approach.
