📍 St Albans, Hertfordshire
💰 £32,000 - £34,000 plus excellent benefits
🏡 Hybrid Working – 3 days office / 2 days home

📋 Key Responsibilities

* Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a portfolio of client payrolls.

* Process weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls accurately and on time.

* Handle RTI submissions, pension auto-enrolment, statutory payments, and year-end processes.

* Manage payrolls with variable pay elements, salary sacrifice arrangements, and complex pay structures.

* Support hospitality clients with payroll queries and compliance requirements.

* Liaise directly with clients, HMRC, pension providers, and third parties.

* Process payment files and payroll reconciliations.

* Maintain compliance with current payroll legislation and best practice.

* Support continuous improvement initiatives across the payroll team.

🎯 About You

* Minimum 2 years' experience within a payroll bureau or client-facing payroll environment.

* Strong end-to-end payroll processing experience.

* Good knowledge of UK payroll legislation, RTI, pensions, and statutory payments.

* Experience managing your own payroll portfolio.

* Strong communication and client relationship skills.

* Experience with IRIS Payroll Professional or similar payroll software.

* Hospitality payroll experience would be advantageous.

* Exposure to Tronc, National Minimum Wage compliance, variable pay, shift-based payrolls, or time & attendance systems would be highly desirable, but not essential.
