Nelson Permanent Placements are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer based in Coleshill.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy manufacturing environment where you will play a key role in maintaining equipment, improving reliability, and supporting continuous improvement projects across the site. The role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys a varied workload and is keen to develop their skills while contributing to future site projects and improvements.

Key Responsibilities of a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

• Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks safely and efficiently.
• Carry out proactive and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Support the installation, modification, and commissioning of machinery and process equipment.
• Diagnose faults, complete root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed in line with health, safety, and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using the CMMS system.
• Support reliability initiatives by identifying equipment trends and failure modes.
• Assist with continuous improvement projects to increase efficiency, quality, and reliability.
• Keep workshops, tools, and spare parts areas clean and organised.
• Support facilities maintenance tasks, including building, plumbing, and general site upkeep where required.
• Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and ensure production targets are achieved.

To Be Considered for this Role as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

• Previous experience in a maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures and risk assessments.
• MIG welding experience is desirable.
• FLT and/or Scissor Lift Licence would be advantageous.
• Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
• 18th Edition required.
• Comfortable assisting with general facilities and building maintenance tasks.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills and support site improvement projects.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• £40,000 - £45,000 depending on experience
• Monday – Friday, rotating shifts 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm
