The Opportunity
Mazco Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a leading precision engineering company in Gloucester for an experienced CNC Turner Programmer, Setter, Operator.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC machinist to join a busy and growing manufacturing environment, producing high-quality precision components for a range of industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC turning centres while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Programming, setting, and operating CNC lathes
* Producing components from engineering drawings to tight tolerances
* Creating and editing programs using Mazatrol and/or Fanuc controls
* Setting tooling and workholding equipment
* Conducting first-off and in-process inspections
* Optimising machining processes and cycle times
* Ensuring all work meets quality standards and production targets
* Maintaining a safe and organised work area
Requirements
* Proven experience as a CNC Turner Programmer, Setter, Operator
* Strong programming knowledge of Mazatrol and/or Fanuc controls
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Experience working to tight tolerances
* Good understanding of tooling, cutting data, and machining techniques
* Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving
* Strong attention to detail and quality
