About the Role and Key Responsibilities

TailorEDucation is seeking a motivated and creative Design Technology Teacher for an ongoing supply position starting in September at a secondary school in the Medway area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled teacher looking for a longer-term role with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging Design Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will inspire students through practical and theoretical learning while maintaining high expectations for achievement and behaviour.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality Design Technology lessons

• Preparing lesson resources and schemes of work

• Teaching practical and theory-based DT lessons safely and effectively

• Monitoring and assessing student progress

• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment

• Maintaining health and safety standards within workshop/classroom settings

• Contributing to the wider life of the department and school where appropriate
