12 Month contract initially + Extensions
Based: Onsite in Stevenage
Rate - £Market rates p/d (via Umbrella)

We have a great opportunity with a world leading organisation where you will be provided with all of the support and development to succeed. A progressive organisation where you can really make a difference. We have a great opportunity for a Neo4j DBA on a long term program of work.

Key Responsibilities:
* Install, configure, and maintain Neo4j databases in production and development environments.
* Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies for Neo4j.
* Monitor database health, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
* Deploy and manage Neo4j clusters on Azure infrastructure (VMs, Kubernetes, networking, storage).
* Implement security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and encryption.
* Collaborate with development teams to support application integration and performance tuning.

Key Skills and Experience:
1. Proven experience as a Neo4j DBA or similar role.
2. Experience of neo4j DB - Enterprise + Aura.
3. Good understanding of graph databases and Cypher query language.
4. Experience of Cloud Hosting (Azure)
5. Provision, upgrade, and manage VMs (Azure preferred) across environments
6. Handle VM resizing, storage allocation, and capacity planning
7. Install, configure, and maintain Neo4j databases
8. Enable HTTP/HTTPS access and configure SSL certificates
9. Manage DEV, UAT and PROD environments
10. Add and maintain database, backup, and log storage volumes
11. Monitor performance and support upgrades (VM/database)
12. Deploy and manage Neo4j APIs/services
13. Collaborate with infra/Unix teams for changes and deployments
14. Troubleshoot environment and infrastructure issues
15. Knowledge of key vault and secrets
16. Hands-on experience with Azure services (VMs, AKS, networking, storage, monitoring).
17. Knowledge of Linux administration, Scripting (Bash/Python), and automation tools.
18. Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
19. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
