We are recruiting for an experienced enterprise Solutions Architect with strong on-premise infrastructure experience and government exposure, for a 6-month initial contract supporting a major UK Government department on a data warehouse optimisation project.

This is a mostly hands off (some hands on) design and assurance role, working with the Lead Solutions Architect and their team of architects to work through and advise on key defined tasks.

Essential skills and experience:

• Current or ability to be SC cleared
• Experience with Data Virtualisation tools, ideally Denodo
• Exposure to VMware and Hybrid environments
• Familiarity with Disaster Recovery technologies covering VMware, Nutanix and Oracle products
• Experience of building and designing solutions with RedHat platforms
• Experience with on premise hosting and networking
• Previous Government Department working experience
• Good understanding of hyperconverged infrastructure concepts

Desirable Skills and experience:

• Any exposure to Oracle Database Platforms in a large-scale environment
• Windows Powershell programming experience
• Working in an AGILE environment
• Working with COTS products
