We are seeking an International Trade Compliance Officer to support and strengthen trade compliance activities across a complex, highly regulated engineering and manufacturing environment. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies, you will provide expert guidance on export controls, licensing, and international trade regulations, helping the business achieve its commercial objectives while maintaining full compliance.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage export licence applications and authorisations, ensuring timely submission and compliance with UK and international regulations.
* Act as a key point of contact for regulatory authorities and support responses to compliance enquiries and audits.
* Monitor changes to trade regulations, sanctions, and export control requirements, assessing business impact and implementing necessary actions.
* Provide practical trade compliance guidance to operational, commercial, and engineering teams.
* Support the development and delivery of compliance policies, procedures, training, and awareness programmes.
* Coordinate import and export compliance activities, including the management of international authorisations and approvals.
* Maintain accurate compliance records and support continuous improvement of trade compliance processes and controls.
About You
* Experience in International Trade Compliance, Export Controls, Customs, or a related discipline.
* Strong knowledge of UK export control regulations and international trade compliance requirements.
* Understanding of ITAR, EAR, sanctions, and licensing processes would be advantageous.
* Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
* Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across multiple functions.
* Experience within defence, aerospace, manufacturing, or another regulated industry is desirable.
