Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Geotechnical Engineer to join a specialist geotechnical contractor in Lincoln. The company is recognised for delivering innovative earthworks and ground improvement solutions on a wide range of infrastructure, commercial, industrial and residential developments across the UK.
This role offers the chance to work on technically challenging projects from tender stage through to construction, whilst benefiting from excellent training, support and long-term career progression within a growing business.
The Role
As a Geotechnical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of earthworks and ground improvement schemes. Working closely with project managers, site teams and clients, you will provide practical engineering solutions to complex ground conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Design and assess earthworks and ground improvement solutions.
Interpret ground investigation data and geotechnical reports.
Produce technical reports, calculations and design recommendations.
Provide support during project planning, tendering and delivery stages.
Monitor construction works and ensure compliance with project specifications.
Liaise with clients, consultants and contractors throughout project lifecycles.
Support value engineering initiatives and identify cost-effective solutions.
Ensure projects are delivered in line with relevant health, safety and quality standards.Requirements
Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or a related discipline.
Experience working within geotechnical engineering, earthworks or ground improvement.
Knowledge of earthworks specifications and geotechnical design principles.
Strong report writing and technical assessment skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
