We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy Fleet Services team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking for an immediate start within a professional workshop environment.
The Role
As part of the Fleet Services team, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and inspecting a diverse fleet of vehicles, including:
* Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs)
* Light Commercial Vehicles
* Municipal Vehicles
* Electric and Hybrid Vehicles
Key Responsibilities
* Service, maintain and repair HGVs and other fleet vehicles
* Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults
* Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections and safety checks
* Carry out welding, fabrication and body repair work as required
* Respond to vehicle breakdowns and repair accident-damaged vehicles
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
* Ensure high standards of workshop housekeeping and health & safety compliance
Essential Requirements
* Level 3 City & Guilds in Heavy Motor Vehicle Engineering (or equivalent qualification)
* Full UK Driving Licence with Category C entitlement (Essential)
* DVSA Inspection and Testing Qualification
* Previous experience maintaining and repairing HGVs and commercial vehicles
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
