Hours: 2 hours per day, Monday to Friday
Quantum Scholars are looking for a caring, reliable and experienced qualified Primary Teacher to provide 1:1 support for a KS1 child who is currently educated other than at school.
This role is based in Berkshire and will involve delivering 2 hours of tuition per day, 5 days per week, in the child's home. The successful teacher will need to build a positive and trusting relationship with the child and provide personalised, interest-led learning that supports engagement, confidence and progress.
This role would suit a qualified primary teacher with a strong understanding of KS1 learning who is confident adapting sessions to meet the needs, interests and pace of the child.
The role will involve:
Providing 1:1 tuition for a KS1 child in a home setting
Planning and delivering engaging, interest-led learning activities
Supporting core early learning skills, including literacy, numeracy and communication
Building confidence, routine and positive engagement with learning
Adapting sessions to suit the child's needs, interests and emotional readiness
Keeping brief records of progress and session content
Working professionally with parents/carers and relevant professionals
Essential requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status, with primary teaching experience
Strong experience working with KS1-aged children
A patient, nurturing and flexible approach
The ability to plan creative, child-centred and interest-led learning activities
Strong communication and organisational skills
A clear commitment to safeguarding and supporting positive outcomes for children
The legal right to work in the UK
Applicants must be qualified Primary Teachers and must have the right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, we are unable to consider applicants who do not meet these requirements.
