We are looking for a Junior Manufacturing Engineer to work on a permanent basis near Ashton Under Lyne.
Salary is c£26-28,000 per annum plus 25 days' holiday and bank holidays, pension, bonus etc.
Duties for the Junior Manufacturing Engineering role:
* Must be committed to working safely and comply with the 5S standards in place.
* Entry level role – ideal for a candidate whose completed their apprenticeship or a graduate
* Must have a minimum 12 months experience within a manufacturing environment and possess the ability to read drawings, understand a BOM and manufacturing (material to a finished part) processes and the role of the supply chain
* Key process / tasks:
* General engineering / admin functions
* Printing route cards / creating production packs (route card / drawing etc)
* Generating basic route cards
* Accessing specification and reviewing the content
* Creating documents / instructions
* Ballooning drawings (the dimensions / references) to assist in the first article process
* Maintaining client orderbooks and reporting to the client
* Engaging with production colleagues (job tracking / problem solving etc)
* Personal skills: commitment, energetic, problem solving, effective decision making, waste elimination, pragmatic and solution based forward thinking, excellent communication
