We are recruiting for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join a growing manufacturing business. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain function, ensuring materials, suppliers, inventory, and logistics operations support the efficient delivery of customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and manage the company's supply chain strategy and processes
* Source, evaluate, and negotiate with new and existing suppliers
* Build strong supplier relationships and manage supplier performance
* Negotiate contracts and service level agreements
* Manage inventory levels to ensure material availability while minimising excess stock
* Monitor and report on supply chain KPIs, identifying opportunities for improvement
* Oversee purchasing activities and ensure timely processing of requisitions
* Manage third-party logistics providers and stock holdings
* Lead, develop, and support the Supply Chain Administration team
* Work closely with Operations, Production, Planning, Engineering, Sales, and Finance to ensure smooth business operations
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain function
Skills & Experience Required
* Significant experience within Supply Chain, Procurement, Purchasing, or Logistics Management
* Proven track record of supplier sourcing, negotiation, and relationship management
* Experience managing inventory, stock control, and supply chain performance metrics
* Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems
* Previous experience leading and developing a team
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
* Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
Desirable
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or a related discipline
* CIPS qualification or working towards professional procurement qualifications
* Experience within a manufacturing environment
