Assistant Site Manager – Residential New Build Housing
Locations: Cuffley, Hertfordshire & Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire
Projects: 75-unit Traditional Build Development & 58-unit Traditional Build Development
We are seeking an ambitious and driven Assistant Site Manager to join our clients residential construction team on two exciting traditional build housing developments located in Cuffley and Bishop's Stortford.
Working alongside an experienced Site Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of these high-quality residential schemes, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the day-to-day management of site operations.
Coordinate subcontractors and monitor progress against programme.
Ensure health and safety standards are maintained and enforced at all times.
Conduct site inspections and quality control checks.
Support the management of materials, deliveries, and site logistics.
Assist with customer care and snagging processes.
Maintain accurate site records and reports.
Help drive programme performance and achieve project milestones.
Requirements
Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager or Site Supervisor within residential new build construction.
Experience working on traditional build housing developments.
Strong understanding of NHBC standards and building regulations.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with subcontractors, suppliers, and the wider project team.
SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS Card, and First Aid qualification preferred.
