We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and experienced Year 2 Class Teacher to join our welcoming and supportive primary school community from September 2026.
This role is ideal for an enthusiastic educator with 3–4 years of primary teaching experience who is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and inspiring children to reach their full potential. You will play a key role in preparing pupils for the transition into Key Stage 2, fostering a love of learning while nurturing their confidence, independence, and personal development.
Working within a collaborative year group, you will benefit from in-class Teaching Assistant support and a partner teaching model, ensuring dedicated PPA time and opportunities for shared planning, professional collaboration, and a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and challenging lessons in line with the Year 2 curriculum
Assess, monitor, and support pupil progress to ensure every child achieves their potential
Create an inclusive, positive, and stimulating classroom environment where all pupils can thrive
Work closely with your year group partner teacher, Teaching Assistant, and wider staff team to deliver outstanding learning experiences
Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to support children's academic, social, and emotional development
Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and its values-driven communityThe Ideal Candidate Will Have

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Ideally 3–4 years' experience teaching in a primary school setting, with experience in Year 2 or Key Stage 1 preferred
A proven track record of effective classroom practice and securing strong pupil outcomes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A genuine passion for building positive relationships with children and supporting their individual journeys
A reflective, proactive, and collaborative approach to teaching and learning
