We are seeking for a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our client in Erith. The ideal candidate will have a background in mechanical knowledge, and experience with various tools and machinery. This role involves operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment, ensuring quality standards, and supporting production processes.
Responsibilities
* Operate and monitor various manufacturing machines
* Set up machines using drawings and tooling specifications
* Programme and troubleshoot
* Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and adjustments on machinery to ensure smooth operation
* Handle materials efficiently, including loading, unloading, and moving components within the workspace
* Maintain accurate records of production output and machine performance
* Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe working environment at all times
* Working in a fast-paced production environment
* Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
* Willingness to work either morning or afternoon shifts as required
Qualifications
* Proven experience in fabrication, machining, or manufacturing environments
* Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations during setup and operation
* Warehouse experience or familiarity with materials logistics is advantageous
* Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met
Shift
Monday to Friday, 6am - 2pm (flexible to switch to 2pm - 10pm once trained and if needed)
Pay
£14.50 whilst in training.
£15.08 when fully trained
