Quality Inspector
£35,000 - £40,000 | Excellent Progression | Modern Manufacturing Environment
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quality Inspector to join a growing and forward-thinking manufacturer. This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their career in quality, compliance, and continuous improvement, with long-term progression into areas such as QHSE, industrial engineering, and process improvement.
The Role:
As a Quality Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring product quality and compliance across the business. Responsibilities include:
Supporting the QHSE Manager with compliance to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001
Carrying out inspection of components, finished products, and goods inward
Conducting spot checks to maintain ISO system documentation and standards
Reporting non-conformances and supporting corrective action processes (NCRs)
Monitoring and verifying resolution of quality issues within agreed timescales
Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and preventative action
Supporting new process development and product improvements
Carrying out Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental audits across the site
About You:
Experience or understanding of manufacturing or production environments
Confident using inspection tools such as verniers, micrometers, and bore gauges
Knowledge of ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001) preferred
Familiar with continuous improvement tools such as DMAIC, 5S, or Kaizen (advantageous)
Strong attention to detail with excellent reporting skills
Confident communicator, able to work with teams at all levels and support training
