A globally recognised high volume manufacturer are currently looking to strengthen their Engineering department with the appointment of a Process Engineer - Textiles.
Working from their manufacturing facility in Staffordshire, the Process Engineer will be responsible for:
* Planning, conducting, and evaluating experiments and projects in the non-wovens and technical fabrics field.
* Independently handling customer inquiries with a focus on non-wovens processes and fibre properties.
* Conducting practical tests both internally and external UKAS accredited laboratories.
* Collaborating closely with sales and marketing team to develop new markets and applications.
* Identifying innovation potential and actively participating in the market introduction of new fibre solutions.
* Serving as a liaison between research & development, production, and customer projects.
* Manage the production process of non-woven fabrics, ensuring standards are maintained
* Inspect the quality of the non-woven fabrics and identify any defects
* Develop and test new non-woven products and production methods
* Maintain machinery, troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise
* Collaborate with other members of the production team to optimise production efficiency
* Implement and uphold safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
* Provide technical support and guidance to the production team
* Document production processes and outcomes for future reference
* Stay updated on the latest advancements and trends in the non-woven fabrics industry
The successful candidate is likely to be qualified to degree level or equivalent experience in Textile Engineering or a related field with proven experience as a Non-Woven Textiles Specialist or similar role.
