Product Owner
We are working with our client based in Sheffield on three Product Owner roles around the following areas.
1 - Product Owner - ServiceNow & Service Chain Mapping
- Oversee IT Service Chain Mapping as the primary method for identifying IT assets underpinning business services, with a focus on Important IT assets.
- Develop and maintain the Service Chain Mapping roadmap, incorporating scope, tooling, standards, processes, and procedures, while aligning with regulatory requirements and user needs.
- Champion ongoing improvements to mapping tools and processes.
- Increase mapping accuracy and reduce errors through automation, building confidence and minimising manual corrections.
- Lead the transition from the Legacy SCM tool (Mandala) to ServiceNow workflows, ensuring comprehensive auditability within a strategic system of record.
- Broaden Service Chain Maps to include non-technical assets such as third-party data, personnel, and premises, enhancing visibility of dependencies for key business services.
- Deliver SCMT metrics and management information, including GRAS metric G82 for CTO, to support prioritisation of attestation activities.
2- Product Owner - Scenario Testing
- Ensure Technology and CTOi are Embedded within the ORCC Scenario Testing Operating Model
- Be Technology's representative at any ORCC Scenario Test forums
- Digest the strategic scenario testing strategy and drive the embedding into technology
- Define the roadmap for Scenario Testing (including any tooling, standards, process and procedures) factoring in requirements from regulatory updates, enhancements and users.
- Drive the banks Digital Transformation journey within technology, to transition from manual paper based test exercises to strategic tooling which delivers Lifecycle Management workflow for test selection, support and outcomes, as well as execution and simulation tooling.
3 - Product Owner - Resilience
- Define product vision, target users and a prioritised roadmap aligned to business services.
- Maintain a clear backlog of resilience features Outcome-driven delivery
- Set OKRs/KPIs for proactive resilience.
- Maintain a Community of Practice to surface potential resilience improvements, maintained and prioritised via a backlog
Resilience-by-design
- Embed resilience enhancements into SDLC and change processes (non-functional requirements, release readiness, operational acceptance).
- Champion practices such as chaos engineering, game days, fault injection, capacity and performance testing, and DR readiness.
Observability & insights
- Partner with monitoring/observability teams to improve telemetry, alert quality, and actionable dashboards.
- Use data to identify systemic risks, recurring failure modes, and top offenders across services.
