Associate Civil Engineer - Leicester
Location: Leicester
Salary: £60,000 - £75,000+

An established and growing Civil & Structural Engineering consultancy is seeking an Associate Civil Engineer to play a key role in the leadership and continued growth of its Leicester office.
With a strong pipeline of development and infrastructure projects across the residential, commercial, education, healthcare and mixed-use sectors, this opportunity would suit an experienced Civil Engineer looking to take the next step into a senior leadership position with greater responsibility for project delivery, team management and client development.
The Role
Lead and oversee the delivery of infrastructure and drainage projects from inception through to completion.
Manage and mentor a team of Civil Engineers and Technicians.
Take responsibility for project profitability, programme management and technical quality.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact.
Support business development activities, including networking, fee proposals and securing repeat work.
Provide technical leadership across drainage, highways and development infrastructure schemes.
Liaise with local authorities, statutory undertakers and multidisciplinary design teams.
Support the Directors in the strategic growth of the Civil Engineering team.
Requirements
Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Significant UK consultancy experience within infrastructure and drainage design.
Strong technical knowledge covering highways, drainage and development infrastructure.
Proven experience managing projects, clients and design teams.
Experience mentoring and developing junior engineers.
Proficient with relevant design software including AutoCAD and drainage packages.
Chartered Engineer status (CEng MICE or equivalent) preferred.
Commercial awareness and an interest in helping grow a business unit.
